Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -How to evolve Eevee into evolutions Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon and Umbreon

Is it possible to evolve Eevee into a specific evolution of your choice? To answer that question, it’s Yes.

The easiest way to evolve Eevee is by feeding him with 25 candies but the evolution is random. But if you want to select a specific evolution for your Eevee then you should use the name trick for Eevee. In order to make the force evolution, all you have to do is to rename Eevee into specific names. Below are the names that should use:

  • Rainer if you want to evolve your Eevee into Vaporeon
  • Sparky if you want to evolve your Eevee into Jolteon
  • Pyro if you want to evolve your Eevee into Flareon
For Espeon and Umbreon  [unconfirmed] the evolution ways. But since this generation 2 Pokemon are not based on elements and they are based on time (day and night) here are the possible way to force the evolution:

  • Espeon – evolve your Eevee at day time runs from 4:00 AM – 5:59 PM with a name of Day
  • Umbreon – evolve your night time runs from 6:00 PM – 3:59 AM with a name of Night
As of now, Espeon and Umbreon evolution trick will remain as a theory until gen 2 is released. We’ll have to wait for the release until next year.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Simple way to change Pokémon in the middle of a Pokémon Go battle

There's a simple way to change your Pokémon in the middle of a Pokémon Go battle. A Dragonite is about to destroy a Pinsir

Gym battles are the least intuitive part of “Pokémon Go.” However do you know how to switch Pokémon in the middle of a battle? Well according to Jacob Shamsian he was taught by Reddit user kial trelis on how to change Pokemon in the middle of a Pokemon Go battle.

Here’s a breakdown of how to do it battle:

Battling a very powerful Dragonite.

A battle between a Tangela and Dragonite

This Tangela won’t last long but you can swap it out for a different Pokémon. Simply swipe up from the screen or tap on the button with the arrows underneath “run.”

This Pinsir is a little stronger. Maybe that will fare better.
The battle between Pinsir and Dragonite.

Changing your Pokémon in the middle of a gym battle is very useful.

Some Pokémon have type advantage over others, so it's better to use a Pokémon with a fire-type move against an ice-type Pokémon, or an electric-type Pokémon against a rock-type one.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokémon Go XP - How to Gain XP fast and level up quick

Increasing your Trainer level is one of the most important things you can do in Pokémon Go. The higher your Trainer level, the higher CP the Pokémon you encounter will have, increasing their effectiveness in Gym battles, and will also increase your chances of discovering rare Pokemon.

Lucky Egg.

Before you set off on any method of gaining XP in quick succession, one item is essential - the Lucky Egg. Activating one of these will trigger an XP boost, doubling all gains for the following 30 minute period.

Get XP fast by collecting every Pidgey, Weedle and Caterpie you see in Pokémon Go

The reason why you go after Pidgeys, Weedles and Caterpies is the amount of Candy required to evolve them is less than other Pokémon - a scant 12 Candy compared to the usual 25 or 50 of other creatures. It also helps that they're very common finds.

If you prepare this method correctly, and have the exact right amount of Pokémon and Candy when you use the Lucky Egg, it's possible to evolve up to 60 Pokémon within 30 minutes - earning you a staggering 60,000 XP.

Other ways of gaining XP / experience quick

If you don't have enough Pokémon for a mass evolving spree, and you still want to gain some easy (though admittedly not as lucrative) XP, then there are many other activities that can get you what you need.

Catching Pokémon:
  • Catch a Pokémon with a Curveball - 10 XP
  • Catch a Pokémon with a Nice throw - 10 XP
  • Catch a Pokémon with a Great throw - 50 XP
  • Catch a Pokémon with an Excellent Throw - 100XP
  • Capture any Pokémon - 100XP
  • Catch a new Pokémon - 500XP (+100XP for the above)
Interacting with PokeStops and Gyms:
  • Interacting with a PokéStop - 50XP
  • Winning a Gym training session in your gym - Varies based on CP difference
  • Winning a Gym battle vs one Pokémon - 150XP
  • Winning a Gym battle vs two Pokemon - 250XP
  • Winning a Gym battle vs three Pokémon - 350XP
  • Winning a Gym battle vs four Pokémon - 450XP
  • Winning a Gym battle vs five Pokémon - 550XP...and so on
Evolving and hatching Pokémon:
  • Hatching a Pokémon - 200XP
  • Evolving a Pokémon - 500XP
  • Evolving a new Pokémon - 500XP (on top of the standard 500XP for evolving)
  • Hatching a new Pokémon - 500XP (on top the standard 200XP for hatching)
You can combine this with catching Pokémon along the way (you can get a little extra from special throws, remember that any new catches are worth more, if you're lucky to find them on your route) then the XP soon adds up, especially if you use an Incense to attract Pokémon to you, or if you find yourself returning to the same PokéStops, then dropping a Lure there could be particularly useful.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go Guide: The ultimate Pokemon Go gym defenders tier list

Pokemon are weighted not only by how many different kinds of Pokemon they beat, but also by the relative frequency of the attackers they can expect to face.
This list isn’t as simple as “strong-stronger-strongest.” Although the strength of an individual Pokemon does play a strong role in its tier placement, GamePress has also taken into account the potential counters that a given player will have when he or she attempts to steal a gym from you.
Visit GamePress for detailed explanations of each and every defender on the tier list, but the graphic below is a great starting point:

Although many Pokemon Go players are content with leveling up and catching rare Pokemon, there are others who prefer to dig into the competitive aspect of the game.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Artist Create Pokemon Go For the Real World

ROCKFORD, IL (KTRK) -- Zach Hill is making Pokemon Go a real-world experience.

"I would see groups of people getting together and finding these Pokemon Go on their phone, and I thought, why can't they actually find, like, a real Pokemon?" Hill said.

Using his 3D printer, Hill wants to give Pokemon-hunters the opportunity to go out and really find them.

"I said, 'I'm going to hide a couple of Pokemon here in Dixon, if you guys want to go out and find them. I'll post a picture. Find them.'"

He was overwhelmed by the attention his first post got.

"It just kind of blew up and from there, pretty much every day this month I've been hiding Pokemon," he said.

The importance of doing this is giving back to the community and letting people know what they mean to him.

Within moments of Hill's most recent post going up, more than a dozen people gathered and dozens more were showing up.

Katherine Kolver said she's been on several hunts and she loves how it brings people out, and she gets the nostalgia.

"I grew up playing the games and watching the show," Kolver said. "That was back before it was actually cool to watch the show."

Another hunter said in order to find her keepsakes, she keeps on the move, "digging and running everywhere."

Hiding Pokemon isn't just something Hill does for other families. It's also something he and his family do together.

The reaction to the local phenomenon he created has made him feel a way he could have never predicted.

"I feel truly blessed to be able to participate in something like this," he said.

He plans to do a large-scale Pokemon hunt in April, instead of an Easter egg hunt.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -7 Pokemon Go myths you should stop believing

The truth is, you can get crappy Pokemon from any egg.

Myth #1: Hatch this egg to get that Pokemon

According to Niantic, there have been plenty reports of people getting rare Pokemon from 2 km eggs. There have been a bunch of charts circulating the internet that list what types of Pokemon hatch from the 2 km, 5 km and 10 km eggs however these charts are useless.

Myth #2: Water types pop up near water and grass types pop up in grassy areas.

Niantic says, "Some wild Pokémon appear only in certain environments and climates. For example, some Pokémon may appear only near lakes, oceans, or other bodies of water." Since Niantic said it, it is sure that this statement is true, however take a look at the wording. They say "some" Pokemon.

The majority of Pokemon seem to spawn in totally random places that have nothing to do with their type.

Myth #3: You can catch legendary Pokemon; here's how.

Legendary Pokemon haven't been released in the game, so no matter what someone tells you, you aren't getting one. Some people have gotten their hands on some, but Niantic told IGN this was a mistake and the Pokemon were revoked.

Myth #4: You can get your Pokeball back.

After you throw the Pokeball, your ball count goes down and no matter how enthusiastically you tap the rolling ball, your ball count doesn't go back up.

Myth #5: Incense doesn't work unless you walk around.

Reddit poster found the code that governs spawning with incense to shed some light on the mystery. The code says that people who stand still will find a Pokemon every 300 seconds. People who are moving, though, will find Pokemon every 60 seconds. The distance you need to travel to find Pokemon more quickly is 200 meters (.2 kilometers).

Myth #6: Don't waste your time on Weedle, Pidgey, Caterpie and Rattata Pokemon.

Weedle, Pidgey, Caterpie and Rattata Pokemon seem pretty impractical for battle, but they still have their uses. There are tons of them everywhere and they are easy to catch. Catching a lot of Pokemon in a short amount of time will help you level up faster. If you waited to catch only "good" Pokemon it would take a very long time to level.

Myth #7: You'll never be able to catch 'em all because some Pokemon are only found in certain locations.

Yes, there are region-specific Pokemon, but don't give up hope. You can still get these Pokemon by hatching eggs, supposedly.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Reverse bans on some 'Pokémon Go' accounts

Niantic has said that in its quest to block bots and data scrapers, some people who used third-party map apps to locate the virtual critters were wrongly blocked.

Pokémon Go players who felt they were wrongly banned might get a reprieve.

"Each end-user app can be used as a collection tool by the app creator, invisibly collecting and forwarding data to the app creator without the knowledge of the end user," Niantic writes.

Niantic says they rearranged few things in its back-end and can reverse bans on a "small subset" of accounts. But that won't apply to accounts doing nothing but remotely accessing and capturing Pokemon, taking part in gym battles or grabbing supplies from Pokéstops.

"Our main priority is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate experience for all players, so, aggressive banning will continue to occur for players who engage in these kinds of activities."

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go for Windows OS Phones

Microsoft rejected this guy for not showing 'passion' — so he built his own version of Pokémon Go from scratch

Pokémon Go is a smash hit on Android and iPhone, but there's no version at all for Microsoft's struggling Windows 10 Mobile, leaving some would-be players in the cold.
And given that Windows 10 Mobile's market share is well under 1% of all smartphones globally, there's not a lot of incentive for game developer Niantic to ever make one.
Fortunately for those few, proud Windows 10 Mobile phone owners, there is an option: "PoGo-UWP," a totally unsanctioned and unauthorized effort to bring the Pokémon Go phenomenon to Windows 10, spearheaded by a developer named Stefano Tenuta.
On the project's GitHub Wiki page, Tenuta gives three main reasons for starting the PoGo-UWP project: First, "because learning new things is always cool." Second, "because it could be done." But third, and best of all: "Because Microsoft rejected my job application saying that I wasn't showing enough 'passion', and this proves them wrong :)"
Tenuta tells Business Insider that his unofficial PoGo-UWP app has had 50,000 unique users opening the app a combined 1.5 million times in the month or so since it was first released. That's a fraction of the many millions of players on the official Pokémon Go app for iPhone and Android, but it's impressive for a niche passion project
The "UWP" part of the name refers to "Universal Windows Platform," Microsoft's new standard for apps that can run on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones alike. That means that if you really wanted to, you could use PoGo-UWP to play Pokémon Go on your Windows 10 PC, too.
Here's how it looks.

Essentially, PoGo-UWP is a donation-funded version of the familiar Pokémon Go app rebuilt from the ground up for Windows 10, one feature at a time. A version of the game that went live on Friday added the Pokédex and the ability to see the items you're carrying. It's not perfect, but it works.
Then, you can grab PoGo-UWP itself, perTenuta's landing page for the latest version. If you're using it on a phone, you really just need to copy over the file and open it. If you're using it on a PC, you need to install a "certificate" file first, which is where I ran into trouble, but enough random fiddling (not advised) made it work just fine.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Earn a living while playing Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go might have peaked in terms of daily active users, but if you want proof that the game is still a massive hit, look no further than this job listing for a part-time “lure manager” that one redditor found on Facebook this week.

According to the ad, this company is looking to hire a Pokemon Go “expert” who has reached at least level 10 in the game. The applicant needs to use an Android phone, understand how to make in-app purchases in the Pokemon Go app, and, oddly, needs to have a college degree in order to get the job.
You can see the full ad in all its glory below:

Although the job post is based in the Philippines, unfotunately, applicant must be in college.

Bonifacio Global City (Taguig)
BGC is the place to be. The best pokémon spawn along the edges of the Manila Golf and Country Club near three rotondas: Burgos Circle, De Jesus Oval by Kasalikasan garden, and Balanghai at the foot of Pacific Plaza. I’ve caught a few Vulpix out by Kasalikasan.
Pokémon also span close to the Mind Museum, diagonally across Bonifacio High Street, and along 32nd Street from S&R to St. Luke’s Medical Center. Popular pokémon in this area include Bellsprout, Bulbasaur, Exeggcute, Horsea, Nidoran, Paras, Pinsir, and Squirtle.

SM Mall of Asia (Pasay)
The massive shopping complex is teeming with Voltorbs and Magnemites. Cloysters, Magikarps, and Poliwags and few Pikachus are being spotted.

Pearl Drive (Ortigas)
Walk back and forth between Lourdes Street and Exchange Road to farm for Magikarp. Pearl Drive is also a great place to find a Psyduck (or if you’re lucky, a Golduck), Slowpoke, or a Staryu, several Dratini. Dratinis will also spawn in front of the Philippine Stock Exchange Complex. Meowth can be found in the street along Shangrilla.

Greenbelt (Makati)
Almost always a Growlithe will spawn under the PokeGym in the middle of the park near the chapel. Greenbelt 5 restaurants  to Museum Cafe to National Bookstore at Greenbelt 1 Eevees, Magikarps, Poliwags, Staryus, and Tangelas are known to spawn here also.

Eastwood City (Quezon City)
The place has a good variety of pokémon not as much as BGC but good enough. You’ll find a lot of Exeggutors, Krabbys, Magikarps, Staryus, and Tentacools mixed in with a few random others.

Manila Ocean Park (Manila)
The place is teeming with Magikarps, Goldeens, Psyducks, and a healthy supply of Magnemites.

If you know of any good Pokémon spot for hunting grounds in Metro Manila leave a message in the comments section below.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -7 Reasons why some real Pokemon fans lost appetite from the game

There's no doubt that Pokémon Go is the season's hit mobile game. Data from Axiom Capital Management showed that the meteoric popularity of the Pokémon Go mobile game plateaued in mid-July.

Two possible reasons why the game became hit:

1. Fleeting nostalgia among twenty somethings;
2. Fascination with the novelty of playing a digital game by moving around in the real world.

However, only two weeks after its earth-shattering debut— the game has declined steadily since then.

The game is stalling out, probably because there's not much great features from the game. Thus, this make players loose interest that result to the great decline of daily active users. Daily active users and user engagement are both down by roughly 30% from their peak.

Here are some of the possible reasons why the game is declining:

1. Playing a half-baked game;
2. While the actual hunting of pocket monsters is fun, there’s very, very little to do with them;
3. Gyms are being ruled with high leveled gym leaders [probably cheaters];
4. Leveling can only be accomplished by collecting monsters;
5. Players can’t even directly fight each other;
6. The game’s combat mechanics are as simultaneously basic and opaque as all of its other elements;
7. Lack of Pokestops, Pokegyms and Pokemon in remote areas [rural part of the region]

These shortcomings of one game don’t mean that augmented reality itself is a flop—if anything, Pokémon Go has whetted audience hunger for a more developed take on gaming that integrates real-world movement and social interaction.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon GO Update: The Silph Road Global Nest Atlas

The biggest and most ambitious Pokemon GO initiative on the Internet. The Global Pokemon GO Nest Atlas is the long awaited addition to TheSilphRoad web tools. Mapping the entire world is not an easy task.

Here's the Youtube video, take note the video lasts almost 9 minutes:

As they say, “many moons ago” the group launched the first version of the Global Nest Atlas. Within 48 hours of launch, they collected more than 7500 nest locations and “verifications” world wide.

However, Niantic changed the nesting species for the first time and all of that data was rendered useless. This time, the new version of the Atlas is resilient to Pokemon Migrations by introducing two stages of nest verification:
  • Yellow means the Nest location is verified, but the species it spawns is yet to be verified
  • Green means both the Nest location and species is verified
Is there a way to see all species in my area at once?

“Not yet – but it’s coming next! You can view any single species’ nest locations in the Global Pokedex under their entry. You will soon be able to view all species in your area at a (currently non-live) URL: TheSilphRoad.com/nests.

So, in order to access the Global Nest Atlas the only thing you need is a reddit account.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go Trivia: How to make Pidgey the best Pokemon fighter

Many of us - Pokemon Go trainers tend to ignore Pidgey when we encounter them in the wild. But a properly evolved Pidgeot could be a tough Pokemon Gym fighter.

Reddit user yoadknux posted an interesting take on evolving a Pidgey to a Pidgeotto, to its third evolution, the Pidgeot. Pidgeot flying wing or hurricane attack can make this Pokemon a force to be reckoned with in gym battles.

Pidgeot - A flying Type Attacker Pidgeot is currently the only Pokemon that could deal pure flying damage to its enemies. Despite the low stats, the Pidgeot's Hurricane attack is considered one of the best effective offensive moves in gym battles.

Pidgeot - A Gym Fighter winged Pokemon, based on its CP is effective in offensive attacks against Bug, Fighting and Grass Pokemon types.

This video will show you how the steps on how to evolve your Pidgey to mighty Pidgeot.

The video siggests players should refrain from evolving their low CP Pidgeotto to Pidgeot and simply transfer them instead. This will also save trainers from wasting precious EXP for evolving a Pidgeot which most likely has one good moveset out of six. As of now, only the Hurricane moveset is the Pidgeot's best weapon. The other five are not as effective. It is not worth level points since evolving the Perfect Pidgeot is doubtful at best.

Players including myself tend to favor Fire Type Pokemon instead of Pidgeot. The latter's flying attack however, does not decrease compared to a Fire Type when fighting a Water Type Pokemon. However Pidgeot, is a weak gym defender.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Trivia: Gengar and Clefable Theory

Hey Pokemon trainers, are you familiar with these two Pokemon?

Rumor says that Gengar is the shadow Pokemon of Clefable, right? Well this article will take you to the next level.

Although there are plenty of evidences that suggest Clefables are not from this world. Clefables worship the moon; they evolve when exposed to a moon stone; Clefa a de-evolved form of Clefable has multiple Pokedex entries that show Clefa came here on a meteor.

What exactly happened when Clefable first arrived in the Pokeverse? It certainly wouldn't make sense if a ready -made Pokemon just crashed to Earth. This is a separate being, an alien being having evolved on a different planet. So what happened when it came to earth? How did it become a Pokemon? Probably it became two.

An alien being crashes onto a planet it's never seen before. There's a toxic chemicals and radiation everywhere from the crash. Ut;s also being exposed to bacteria and viruses. its system has never encountered; in particular, Pokerus which causes Pokemon's EV's to grow faster. Thus we know causes living beings, Pokemon in particular, to mutate or grow faster.

In the confusion and mess, the being must adapt quickly. The virus urges it to mutate fast. So it does the alien evolves into the first Clefable.

But somewhere along the line, something goes wrong. Maybe it;s the adrenaline; maybe its the intense emotional sate. Point is, the alien doesn't become one Pokemon; it splits in two - Clefable and Gengar.

Clefable and Gengar. One half quiet, shy, cute and benevolent the other malicious, outgoing and terrifying mean. It's the good half and the bad half; a classic Doppelganger.

Do you want some proof?

The next piece of evidence is contained in the Pokedex entries for both Pokemon. They both have a noted interest in the full moon, yer seem to live in opposite worlds. Clefavle is shy and quiet avoiding people as much as it can because it is afraid; Gengar is also quiet but prefers to seek people out so it can made them afraid. Because Gengar seek people out, they are less "rare".

Their base are similar but opposite in personality, two parts that make up one whole.  Another piece of evidence we have is their moveset. Not the ones that they learn naturally, the moves they can learn by TM.

For instance, Clefable can learn shadow ball which doen't make any sense. Why on earth does a sweet timid fairy type Pokemon have the ability to learn shadow?

The two Pokemon also have very opposite stats.

Finally, before the change, Gengar who is a Ghost-poison was completely immune to Clefables which was then just plain Normal. Clefable being Normal was immune to all of Gengar's ghost attacks.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon GO Update: new secret features and BIG changes

Pokemon GO's latest update has a number of references to features that are not yet active.

This includes the following references:
New Store Items,
Trading Pokemon,
So called "Forts",
Buddy Pokemon,
Catching Legendary Pokemon,
Google VR

New Store Items
"Cool" Incense and "Floral" Incense can be seen in the code of the newest version of Pokemon GO.

Trading Pokemon
Four clues suggest that trading is coming very soon:
• Trade Search
• Trade Offer
• Trade Response
• Trade Result

New Legendary Pokemon
Pokemon like Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres have been spotted in the code of the game. They're in the game, too - just not quite released to the public.

So-called "Forts"
Mention of "Forts" in the newest code for Pokemon GO made us think there'd be a whole new category of location in the game soon - however, our most recent analysis suggests that these are just references to either Pokemon Gym locations or Pokestops, where applicable.

Buddy Pokemon
Notes on "Buddy Pokemon" can be found in this newest update. Reference to "Buddy Candy Awarded" and "Buddy Walked Message" - so we wouldn't be extremely surprised to see something like Pikachu following our avatar in Pokemon Yellow business going on - though probably without the animation, to save on battery.

Google VR
As we discovered back in March of this year, Pokemon GO will have a virtual reality component. The Pokemon GO app file contains a folder called "VR", inside which can be found two folders: platform and Cardboard.
