There's been a trending video and screen captured email circulating throughout the web with regard to this Pokemon Go player who was been rewarded by Niantic with an Articuno. Niantic told geek that they never sent an Articuno to the Pokémon GO player who claims to have one. Plenty of debate has been going around as to whether or not this Articuno is official, but we can now say that there is a serious whole in the story.
According also to Niantic's representative "the supposed Aticuno was not from Niantic" and the spokesperson also clear that it's either s spoof or someone hacked the game. Niantic is still looking into it.
Perhaps what we have on our hands is an elaborate fake. Or maybe it was a result of Pokemon GO’s latest glitch. In any case, it’s certainly not official.
