Once you've reached the required level which is level 5, you'll be asked to join a team or join different teams and play as rivals! After joining a team you join a team, you'll gain the ability to assign Pokémon you've caught to open Gym locations or to a location where a team member has placed one of his or her Pokémon. Or you can conquer a gym and battle with the gym leader.
Nice privilege right? Now that you're ready to battle with the gym leader the question where to battle?
