Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Niantic Remove Spawns And Sightings When Driving; Players Outraged

Niantic has been rolling out useless after useless updates for Pokemon GO - from push notifications that essentially begs players to keep playing the game to Niantic's crackdown of third party application scanners when their confirmed plans for their highly requested tracking system are zilch. Now, Niantic has rolled out a new depressing update, one that might affect the majority of avid players in Pokemon GO.

This weekend, Niantic imposed upon Pokemon GO players a 30-mph speedlock, which deliberately erases all Pokemon spawns and completely shuts off the sightings list when players are travelling above 30 mph. This means that when the game detect that the players are going above what Niantic considers as "driving speed", they won't be able to play as they normally do. This new bug or feature came after the patch that added the push notifications, which players called both 'useless' and 'annoying'.

Although this update's main purpose is for safety and security reasons, and it may seem like Niantic only has the players' best interests in mind, Pokemon GO players are outraged after perpetually getting these useless updates for the past consecutive weeks. The developer's questionable decisions have been affecting the players' ability to explore and enjoy the game. Fans have poured their anger and dismay across various social media platforms.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -The rise of Pokemon Go map tracker FastPokeMap

Many Pokemon Go fans will have fond memories of FastPokeMap, since it was the best Pokemon Go map tracker. However Niantic has shut it down. According to Niantic, map trackers don’t fall within the spirit of the game and therefore must be destroyed. But FastPokeMap has managed to crack Niantic’s blockade and should be back up and running any time now.

The best part of Return of the PokeJedi is the solemn warning the developers of FastPokeMap have for the Empire, Niantic. In a blog post criticizing Niantic for what the developers claim is a lot of battery-draining “bogus code flow and instructions that are useless for the end result, they’re just here to slow us down,” the devs drop the following PokeBomb:
  • Listen to your community and open the api. You can still save Pokemon GO. We’ll keep reversing your game as long as your game is popular.
  • FastPokeMap will continue to come back no matter how hard you try to kill it.
  • But if you keep trying to kill it don’t be surprised if soon there won’t be anyone playing your game anymore.
According to the developers of FastPokeMap, recent changes to the Pokemon Go API have been specifically designed to not only keep tinkerers out, but also to deny folks with older Android phones the ability to play alongside a massive waste of resources that contribute to excessive power consumption.

Will you be using FastPokeMap once it’s back up and working? Do you think Niantic should block map trackers?

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -No, not yet the release of Pokémon Go tracker beta fix to the broader world

Catching and knowing the location of Pokemon in the real world is the biggest selling point of Pokemon Go. But Niantic has disabled the game’s Pokemon tracker just weeks after launch, which most players have been left to fend for themselves. Several months have passed though, the in-game map remains nowhere to be found, and Pokémon Go players are just about ready to give up on the massive (if controversial) mobile game.

When the original nearby Pokémon tracking feature proved glitchy shortly after launch, Niantic responded by removing it entirely. The developer promised that a fix was incoming, and things looked to be on the up-and-up when the San Francisco Bay area received an overhauled locating feature in beta.

“Niantic is still testing a new type of tracking that's geo-locked to San Francisco,” a representative told Polygon. “At this moment, there is no estimated timeline to potentially rolling it out wider.”

“Niantic took away the trackers right before winter,” wrote one Reddit user. “I hope they come out with one cause who is going to wander around aimlessly in the cold?”

Niantic’s excited updates about the game’s new features are just met with tepid responses from players who just want to be able to track Pokémon again.
This would be less of an issue if players were able to come together and create their own maps if Niantic hadn't disabled the most prominent third-party mapping sites, like PokéVision, just after removing the feature.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Reaching Level 40 Gets Player A Ban From Pokemon Go Gyms?

It seems that after reaching the highest level in Pokemon Go gets players a ban from the Pokemon Go gym. Several level 39-40 players have reported the incident.

It is yet unclear how widespread the issue is, but then, there aren’t many level 39-40 players to go around. Despite numerous emails to Niantic, there hasn’t been a clear response from the developer on this matter.

One level 40 player, Jimmie Pitts reported the following on reddit –

“So I became level 40 just about a week ago, and right around that time I started getting a weird gym error. It disabled all interactions with gyms, can’t check pokemon in them, can’t do anything gym related at all! Thought it would go away and it didn’t. The weird part is other top players around the world also have this glitch. The one and only jdero, and a guy in Europe who hit 40 last night, along with 2 other 39-40 players im my city who actually have the glitch as well. We’ve tried everything as far as logging in on different devices and service providers and NOTHING works. Sent in just about a million emails to niantic, obviously no answer from them…..so yea pretty crazy you reach the end and this is what happens….”

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks - Pokemon Go Increases Life Expectancy Of Players Giving Them 2.8 million years total in US alone, Gaming News. | Pokemon Go News, Updates And Videos

Microsoft source: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1610.02085v1.pdf

The ultra mainstream increased reality amusement Pokémon Go can possibly include 2.825 million years of extra future to players in the United States alone.

That is as indicated by an as of late discharged study by Microsoft and Stanford University scientists who dissected wearable sensor information consolidated with web search tool logs for 32,000 people over the three months from July 6, the arrival of the diversion in the U.S., through August 23. Scientists extrapolated from the discoveries from the example gathering to the 25 million U.S. Pokémon Go clients.

They found that Pokémon Go clients followed, by and large, an additional 192 stages for every day. Devotees, who analysts distinguished in light of how often they hunt down data about the amusement, strolled a normal of 1,473 more strides a day.

Taken together, that implies that U.S. Pokémon Go clients included a sum of 144 billion stages to their aggregate stride tally in their initial 30 days of play. Clients have adequately orbited the equator 2,724 times or made 143 round outings to the moon.

Since strolling more makes individuals more solid, the specialists extrapolated that movement identified with the intuitive, area particular amusement would include 41.4 days of extra future per client on the off chance that they could support an additional 1,000 stages for every day. All things considered, that is 2.825 million years of extra life for U.S. clients.

What's especially vital about the capacity of computer games to get clients off the love seat is that they focus on a crowd of people that is at hazard.

"Pokémon Go has possessed the capacity to increment physical action crosswise over men and ladies of any age, weight status, and earlier action levels demonstrating this type of amusement prompts increments in physical action with critical ramifications for general wellbeing," the study appears.

Wellbeing and wellness applications that particularly mean to make individuals more dynamic are to a great extent tending to a group that is as of now at the rec center. Diversions can have a more extensive request. "We find that Pokémon Go can achieve low movement populaces while every one of the four driving versatile wellbeing applications contemplated in this work to a great extent draw from an effectively exceptionally dynamic populace," the report says.

All recreations lose some force after an early pop in ubiquity taking after dispatch. In the event that Pokémon Go has a long tail, however, it could be the uncommon computer game that permits everybody, even players, to control up.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go Update: Players will be rewarded for collecting medals

Pokémon Go's latest update gives players more of a reason to unlock medals.

Previously serving as in-game achievements that catalogued in-game progress, certain medals will now reward players with a Catch Bonus for certain Pokémon elemental types.

For example, earning the bronze Kindler medal - by catching 10 Fire Pokémon - will increase your chances of capturing Fire creatures in future, with additional bonuses available when unlocking silver and gold tiers.

If you come across a Pokémon with multiple Types - such as the common Normal and Flying Pidgey - then the game will use the average of both medals you've unlocked to work out the Catch Bonus.

It means that catching hordes of low level Pokémon should give you more of an advantage when you eventually come across rarer creatures.

Meanwhile, the update also makes training more accessible, allowing players to take a team of six Pokémon to a friendly Gym instead of just one, and lowers the strength and CP of the creatures you spar with for the duration of the session.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Why did so few players chose Team Instinct over the others?

Players are given a choice one of three teams early on in Pokémon GO. Team Mystic, led by Blanche, with an Articuno/Blue/Ice theme. Then there’s Team Valor, led by Candela, with Moltres/Red/Fire. And finally Team Instinct, led by Spark, with Zapdos/Yellow/Electricity.

A few theories:
• Players were picking based on whether they had the Red or Blue versions of the original game, as Pokémon Yellow wasn’t released until later
• Players were picking based on their favorite starter, Squirtle or Charmander, and there is no “Green Team” for Bulbasaur, so Instinct doesn’t fit there
• Players were picking based on aesthetics, and yellow is ugly
• Players were picking based on their friends’ picks, and a snowball effect helped Mystic and Valor’s growth
• Players thought Spark was lame, and he was indeed lame enough to quickly become a meme
• Players are more attracted to the “core” elements of Fire and Ice (see Game of Thrones), while Electricity isn’t as cool

But anyway, some combination of those factors have led to Team Instinct being dramatically underrepresented in the game, and that’s been problematic for that portion of the player-base, as Instinct players own a fractional amount of gyms in the wild.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go Update: Egg and Incubator Screens, Decrease Evolution Animation

Pokemon Go has released new updates: fix bugs and improve some existing features. Below are some release notes and comments from Pokemon Go development team.

  • Catch Bonus: Trainers can earn a catch bonus for a Pokémon type as they catch more of a specific type.
  • Updated Gym Training: Trainers can now bring six Pokémon to battle at friendly Gyms. The CP of the Pokémon you are battling may be temporarily adjusted lower for your training session.
  • Egg & Incubator Screens: These will periodically update the distance walked without the Trainer needing to close and reopen the screen.
  • Fixed several audio issues.
  • Decreased the evolution animation time.
  • Minor fixes
In my opinion, these updates are not enough to gain back the interest of some of the Pokemon Go players. If only Niantic adds player vs player (non gym battle), battling Pokemon before catching it, I think somehow the game will entice players once again.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go Update: Niantic reveals new plans for huge updates

The Pokemon Go game developer Niantic and The Pokemon Company confirmed that the next update of the phenomenal Pokemon Go will come with the second generation of Pokemon. No official word has been made about this yet, but Niantic tells fans to expect a lot more from the game. This clearly points to the addition of Generation 2 Pokemon on the next major update, since the game has nowhere else to go but to expand its current world.

Niantic’s John Hanke reveals new plans for huge updates that will likely include:

  • A new batch of second generation Pokemon characters that will be added to the original 151 monsters in Pokemon Go.
  • A Pokemon breeding feature, which is under discussion. This will definitely make giving birth to new baby Pokemon easier and more fun, should it be included in the game and released in the next update.
  • A customizable Pokestop that will enable players to showcase their creativity. This will allow them to enhance or change a particular Pokestop’s function. This should take care of criticisms about the lack of distinguishable marks of Pokestops.
Among these features, Pokemon Breeding is the most awaited, and one that will make fans ecstatic, if it comes out on the next major update. After all, it is considered an effective way to farm candies that are essential to power up and evolve a Pokemon.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokémon Go Update: Cheaters Get Threatened Bans As Niantic Adds Third-Party Scan Blocks

Niantic's developer warns players who are using third-party scanning apps and cheats to catch Pokémon about the possibility of bans. Developers and trainers alike are aware of the situation.

Signs of new security measures first arrived on Wednesday when the FastPokeMap Twitter account posted that “new security by Pokémon Go servers has been rolled out.”

Pokémon Go player posted on Reddit about the security message warning when opening the app. “We have detected signals from your account that suggest you are using third-party applications or modified software typically associated with cheating,” it reads, “Please be aware that the use of such software can result in the permanent banning of your account and loss of all progress in the game at any time.” In closing, it’s advised that “if you have been using such software, we encourage you to stop.”

Third party application warning from Niantic. from pokemongo

However it's still a big question if this security message is referencing GPS bots or Pokémon trackers.

It is Niantic’s responsibility to defend the integrity of the game. When people are handed Pokemon with no effort, especially in large crowds, everyone follows. You really think people will stop using the easy, convenient third-party services for a tracking system requiring more effort and less certainty in finding rares?

Apparently people are forgetting the simple idea that hunting Pokemon is suppose to be challenging.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon GO Update: Pokemon Encountered in Gyms Now Count As ‘Seen’

Niantic quietly rolls out a Pokemon GO tweak, causing the Pokedex to record encounters with Pokemon in Gyms in addition to the existing wild Pokemon encounters.

Although Niantic generally announces major updates it rolls out for Pokemon GO in advance, sometimes surprise changes are enacted in the background, waiting to be discovered by players. One such tweak has now arrived, changing how the Pokedex works with regards to Pokemon Gyms.

Gamers noticed today that a change has been made to Pokemon GO, altering how Pokemon sightings in the Pokedex are recorded. Any Pokemon seen at Pokemon Gyms will now qualify as sightings in the Pokedex, filling in the Pokemon’s silhouette and adding a single sighting listing to the Pokedex. Formerly, only Pokemon spotted in the wild would qualify as a sighting in the Pokedex.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Upcoming Pokémon GO update will bring big changes to gym training and easy capturing of rare Pokemon

Despite of the drastic decline of active Pokemon Go players, there are still a lot of people playing this mobile gaming app. Players who have stuck with the summer's hottest mobile game will soon be able to enjoy significant improvements to training Pokémon at gyms and the way rare Pokémon are caught.

The changes to gyms will make training feasible, even for players at a low level. You train at allied gyms to earn experience and boost the level of the gym for your team. Soon, you'll be able to choose six Pokémon to train against the defending Pokémon instead of just one. That makes it more feasible to actually win. Additionally, the level of defending Pokémon will be temporarily lowered for less experienced players. Note, this doesn't affect capturing gyms.

A new system of medals will also make catching rare Pokémon easier. The medals you get for catching enough of each type of Pokémon will actually do something! As you work through the different tiers, you get bonuses that increase the capture rate of Pokémon with the same type. That means you are more likely to catch the rare and powerful ones that appear.  Note: we previously reported this affected spawns, but it's probably capture rate. Niantic isn't very clear.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Google's Cloud Platform brings back Pokemon Go to Life

Google Cloud Platform - the infrastructure that helped bring Pokémon GO to life for millions of players. If you'll remember anywhere near Pokemon Go launch date, you probably noticed that it broke. Always.

There's always suspicion that its instability was because the servers were falling over under the weight of the traffic, but there’s a confirmation from Google.

Before the launch of the game, Niantic and Google set an expected traffic target, and a “worst case” scenario, about five times higher than that target. In the end, traffic was 10 times higher than the worst case scenario, and 50 times higher than Niantic’s expectations. In fact, it was higher than Niantic’s expectations within 15 minutes of launching in Australia and New Zealand.

Google says it managed to “seamlessly” add extra capacity to enable Niantic “to stay well ahead of their record-setting growth”, which is a vaguely rose-tinted recollection of the actual launch, although the company’s director of customer reliability engineering, Luke Stone, does concede that “Not everything was smooth sailing at launch!”

The app hasn’t quite kept up with its enourmous launch success, with monthly active users falling by almost 20 million people over the month since August 12, according to market analysts Apptopia. But that still leaves 32.4 million playing it as of mid-September, and given the economics of free-to-play games – which tend to make the majority of their income from a tiny, highly-engaged core of players – the app is likely to still be pulling in hundreds of millions of dollars a month. Othe fun facts

  • The Pokémon GO game world was brought to life using over a dozen services across Google Cloud.
  • Pokémon GO was the largest Kubernetes deployment on Google Container Engine ever. Due to the scale of the cluster and accompanying throughput, a multitude of bugs were identified, fixed and merged into theopen source project.
  • To support Pokémon GO’s massive player base, Google provisioned many tens of thousands of cores for Niantic’s Container Engine cluster.
  • Google’s global network helped reduce the overall latency for Pokémon Trainers inhabiting the game’s shared world. Game traffic travels Google’s private fiber network through most of its transit, delivering reliable, low-latency experiences for players worldwide. Even under the sea!

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Philippines' first batch of Pokémon GO Masters who has already “caught ’em all”

In an interview by GMA News last September 9, Kevin Catalig of Manila, shared his passion of Pokémon hunting around Manila and Pasay area. In the interview, he mentioned that playing the game is a hobby and it’s something he wakes up to do as an everyday routing (like work) by playing from 8AM to 10PM. Catalig already caught 141 different kinds of Pokemon.

Catalig also shared that most of the rare Pokémon can easily be found in the Luneta and Quirino Grandstand areas, which usually spawns Pikachus, Ninetails and Lickitungs.
On the other hand, a reddit member,  MessiahX from Paranaque, shared his and his wife’s Pokédex to prove the success of their quest to catch all 141 Pokémon available in the Philippines.

Currently at Level 29, MessiahX claims that their endeavor of catching all 141 Pokémon is purely “100% legit, (the) fruit of our labor, sweat, and extended time hunting mostly in Luneta, Manila Ocean Park, and Leviste Makati“.

He shared that the last Pokémon he had to acquire to complete the set was an Omanyte, which he hatched from a 10KM egg. While he already HAD one, this specific instance gave him enough candies to evolve his existing Omanyte into an Omastar, missing piece of his collection.
Mau Duque has also reached this awesome Pokémon Go milestone of 141. He has submitted to us the following screenshot and has secured himself as part of this first batch.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Pokemon Go Update: Pokemon GO Patch Brings Back Capture Map

New Pokemon GO update in the works, Niantic claims that update will bring back the Capture Location feature, as well as fix issues with Pokemon GO Plus.

Niantic announced that they were in the process of updating Pokemon GO for both Android and iOS. Here’s what Niantic had to say about the update:
Pokémon GO updated to version 0.39.0 for Android and 1.9.0 for iOS:
Trainers,
Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.39.0 for Android and 1.9.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
  • Capture location: The location where a Pokémon was caught will now be displayed on their information screen.
  • Pokémon GO Plusand Incense: Trainers can attempt to capture Pokémon they encounter from using Incense with the Pokémon GO Plus accessory.
  • Minor bug fixes
We appreciate your continued support and have some exciting features and changes coming soon.
The Pokémon GO team”
From what can be gathered from Niantic’s announcement, it appears that this update will not address the issue that Android users were having with the Pokemon GO Plus accessory, but it does fix a few features while bringing one back, though in a slightly different form.
The update brings back the “capture location” feature that was removed in an earlier update due to the feature being effectively broken. However, in its original form the “capture location” feature was displayed as a little map in the Pokemon info screen. In its new form the capture location has been downgraded to just a line of text with the city and state. The update also fixes the problem players were having with not being able to capture Pokemon that were attracted using incense in conjunction with the Pokemon GO Plus accessory.

Pokemon GO Tips and Tricks -Next Pokemon GO Update finally blocks cheaters

Since the dawn of Pokemon GO, there have been hackers making use of their ability to spoof their way through the game.

Now, with the release of the next Pokemon GO update, Niantic has finally figured out how to kick out all manner of spoofers, hackers, and general chaos-makers. While a previous update appeared to do this, Niantic’s spread of ousting techniques didn’t quite cover all versions of the game. Now they’ve figured out what works, and they’re rolling out the block.

Niantic’s latest move is to work with the same system that several NFC wireless payment systems do on Android devices. It’s called Safety Net, and it makes certain that the user’s smartphone isn’t rooted.

It’s also become apparent that Niantic’s implementation of Safety Net (now and/or in the very near future) will not be blocked from viewing the device’s modified Android system. This means that any use of CyanogenMod, for example, will not be tolerated.

An anonymous message from a source familiar with the matter suggested that “encryption from versions of the game before 0.37 is different from what’s found above version 0.39. API uses encryption from the lower versions while newer versions rely on new, unbroken encryption.”

“As of now, any account for any version of the game below 0.39 will see the ‘update’ button in-game and will be unable to do anything but walk (without egg or candy reward) until they update. Any user playing with an automatic system will be flagged as they proceed to move in the game without updating, and a later set of bans will be enforced. Soon.”

Current downloads include the string “minimum_client_version”: “0.39.0”, which means no user will be able to play the game with any lesser version for long.
